01Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using vitae ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
02Description of Service
vitae is a health and wellness application that provides personalized daily protocols based on user-provided information and optional health data from Apple Health and other connected devices. The App includes:
- Personalized daily protocol generation based on quiz responses
- Time-blocked action items for health optimization
- Apple Health data integration (sleep, steps, HRV)
- Daily progress tracking with streaks and completion scores
- Cross-device sync via Apple Sign-In
03Medical Disclaimer
You acknowledge that:
- vitae does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease
- Protocol recommendations are based on publicly available research and are not personalized medical advice
- You use the App and follow its protocols entirely at your own risk
- You should discontinue any protocol action that causes discomfort or adverse effects
04Account & Authentication
You sign in using Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID. You agree not to share your account or allow others to access the App through your credentials.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.
05Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers against the service
06Health Data
If you grant Apple Health permissions, you authorize vitae to read the health data types described in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke this access at any time through your device's Health settings.
We handle health data in accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines and our Privacy Policy. Health data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
07Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, protocols, and branding within vitae are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without written permission.
The protocol content (action items, timing recommendations, supplement suggestions) is curated from publicly available scientific research and is provided as-is.
08Availability & Updates
We strive to keep vitae available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
09Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, vitae and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to health outcomes, data loss, or service interruptions.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10Termination
You may stop using vitae at any time. You can delete your account from within the app (Profile → Reset Protocol) or by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.
11Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
12Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
